RUE21 CONFETTI CRUSH NAIL POLISH REVIEW!

RUE21 CONFETTI CRUSH POLISHES!

Hello again, Today I have some new Confetti Crush polishes from Rue21 to share with you and review.I purchased all of these in store for 2 for 5 dollars. Each bottle contains .47oz. of product, which is pretty standard for most polish brands. They are all glitters in a clear base and need to be layered over another polish. Most of these are chunky glitters which usually means that they can be a little more work. It's nothing  hard, but you have to kind of move the pieces around to where you would like them.I am so  excited over these, because they are just super fun. Let's get into it....

***THESE DO NOT HAVE "ACTUAL" NAMES SO I WILL BE LABELING THEM 1,2,3 AND SO ON***

CONFETTI CRUSH #1...

This is a clear base with large pink and yellow matte hex glitters, medium and small pink matte glitters, and large and small metallic hex glitters. The formula is a bit thick, but it's only because there are so many glitters in it. You don't have to fish for the glitters at all. You get a ton on your brush with each dip in the bottle. You do have to move the larger glitters around a bit to get them where you want them.

CONFETTI CRUSH #2...

This is another clear base with small matte white, pastel pink, pastel blue and pastel yellow hex and circle glitters. This is a very easy one to work with, because it doesn't have any large pieces in it. This is one coat in the swatch over a base color. It was wonderful to apply and look at. :)

CONFETTI CRUSH #3...

This one is probably my favorite out of the bunch. It's a clear base with medium and small matte hex glitters in blue and purple. This was also easy to apply , because the glitter isn't too big. This is one coat over a base.

CONFETTI CRUSH #4...

This is a clear base again, with largeYellow, blue and green hex glitters. It also has micro white and blue hex glitters and a few diamond shaped glitters in various sizes. I have one easy coat over a pink base.

CONFETTI CRUSH #5...

This is a clear base with large dark and light pink matte hex glitters, medium yellow hex glitters and very small pink hex glitters. I have this one  as one coat over a white base. These are neon glitters, so they stand out much more if you wear them over white.

CONFETTI CRUSH #6...

This is the last one and it's a clear base with large matte pin, green and blue hex glitters, micro white and green hex glitters and some diamond shaped glitters through it. This was easy to apply, but I did have to position the larger pieces where I wanted them. I have here one coat over a sea foam green.

***MY THOUGHTS... I LOVE these and recommend them all. The only thing is that if you are newer to glitters then you should probably skip on the chunkier glitters, because they can be a little more difficult. If you love them tho, get them because they are so good. I am  so happy with these and I can't wait for them to release some new ones. :) Thank you guys for stopping bye and I will talk to ya in the next one....Remember, Stay Polished! :)***

NEW WET n WILD LE SILVER LAKE POLISH COLLECTION REVIEW!

Wet n Wild Limited Edition Silver Lake Polishes!

Hey guys, today I am going to share and review the new 2015 Wet n Wild Mega Last Limited Edition Silver Lake Collection with you. There are a total of 6 polishes but I only bought 5. The one color I skipped on was a very sheer baby pink shade and I have so many of those that I don't need another. I found these at Super K-Mart and they were around 2.50 to 3.00 a piece. These colors are stunning and I think that they are perfect spring shades. I have always loved Wet n Wild's Mega Last line and this collection didn't disappoint. The formulas and colors are so good and I love this collection so much. Let's get started on each individual color......

TREE HUGGER...

Tree hugger is a light mint green shade. The formula is so good and creamy and took two coats to be opaque.

REJECT THE MAINSTREAM...

Reject the mainstream is a light pastel lilac shade with a great formula as well. I did two coats for full opacity.

WEAR SKINNY JEANS...

Wear skinny jeans is a light blue/periwinkle shade with a slight silver shimmer running through it. This shade is the standout and it is a perfect dupe for Essie's Bikini So Tenny. This one even has a better formula than the Essie one and it's opaque in just two coats.

 WARM FILTER...

Warm Filter is a gorgeous pinky coral shade and the formula is just as amazing as the rest. I only did two coats here, but you could probably get away with one.

A LATTE LOVE...

A latte love is a creamy off white nude shade and the formula is the same as the rest....perfect! This took two coats and for a light nude like this that cn be hard to find. Such a great color and one of my favorites!

MY THOUGHTS....I absolutely love all these polishes and I highly recommend them. They aren't very unique colors, but they are really good for the formulation, pigment and price. I also wanted to mention that the brush on these are the wide paddle kind and it makes for easy application and less strokes over the nail. I am very pleased and I can't say a single bad thing about them. I also did a review on my YouTube channel @kristinjohnson and you can find me on Instagram @kristinjohnson563. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoyed this review. Until next time, stay polishd!

RUE21 NAUTICAL POLISH COLLECTION REVIEW!

Rue21 Nautical Blues Nail Polish Collection!

Hello again friends, today I have the new nautical themed nail polishes that Rue21 just recently released. They are all different shades of blue and I picked up five. These are the only ones that I've seen, but someone on my IG account told me that I'm missing one.I've yet to see the missing one in store or online, so I'm not sure why that is or if there is a sixth to this collection. Oh well, I'm very pleased with the ones I purchased and I'm excited to share my thoughts on them. Aren't these bottles just the cutest things ever? I love them! The formulas are all amazing and smooth and creamy and I had to application issues at all. I got these 3 for 5 in store but on the internet they are 2 for 5 but it's still an amazing deal, because the quality is perfect. Let's get started on the review......

SEAFOAM...

This polish is a beautiful seafoam green shade with an amazing creamy formula. It's a one coater, but I did two for the swatch. This is the only one that leans on the green side and the rest are in the blue range. If you all have ever seen Pop Beauty's Mint Magic, this is a great dupe for that. It's so bright and stunning on the nail, it's a head turner.

ANCHORS AWAY TEAL...

This baby is a gorgeous teal shade and it's a jelly/cream formula that takes just two coats and that's what you see above. It's perfection and I love it!!!

BRIGHT BLUE...

This one is a dark but bright shade of blue and has that same formula as the previous teal shade above. It took two coats and is stunning. This is my favorite of the bunch, because I have nothing like it in my massive collection, that's hard to do. LOL!I  am just in love with it!

LIGHT BLUE...

This polish is a beautiful light sky blue shade and is actually opaque in one coat....Yes, one coat guys! I can't believe how amazing the formula is and for a light pastel kind of blue, that's hard to do. It's wonderful!

DARK BLUE...

This is the last one I picked up and it's a very dark navy blue. The formula is incredible and opaque in one coat. This is such a gorgeous color and such a joy to apply.

*** MY THOUGHTS: I 100% recommend this entire collection. I love all five of these polishes, the price is amazing and the formulas are soo good. When I think of a nautical theme, these are exactly the colors that come to mind. This is a great collection for the summer. I recommend that you get these if you can. I also reviewed these more in depth on my YouTube channel and that's @kristinjohnson. Thank you all for spending some time here today and I hope you enjoyed and that it was helpful in some sort of way. Bye Guys! ***

RUE21 TRUELY YOURS NAIL POLISH REVIEW!

RUE21 TRUELY YOURS POLISH COLLECTION REVIEW!

Hey guys, today I will be sharing the new Rue21 Polishes from their new 2015 T.R.U.E.L.Y Yours collection. I bought these in store for 2 for 5 and I'm not sure exactly how many are in this line but I have 7 and they were all I saw at the store. There is one that I ddn't orginally pick up at first, but went back and grabbed it. So in the photo above you see 6 and the 2 in front I will not talk about here, because they are a different line. I've done a video on my Youtube channel @kristnjohnson. All of these polishes had amazing formulas and only needed two coats for opacity on them all. The brush on these hold a lot of polish, so just be careful not to have too much when you apply so you don't flood your cuticles. Most of these polishes don't have names on them, but you can find some on their website. I hate when polishes have no names, but I love these so much that I let it slide. Let's get started....

LIGHT GREY...

This is an extremely light almost white grey cream. The formula was smooth and creamy and took two coats for full opacity!

DARK GREY...

This is a medium to dark grey cream with silver glitter throughout. The formula was incredible and I did two coats, but it can be opaque in just one.

LIGHT BEIGE...

This one is a very light tan/beige nude shade and the formula is so good. I have two coats for the swatch and was super smooth and easy to apply.

LIGHT GREEN...

This one is a very light/almost white mint green shade! I love how subtle this is and it took two coats to be opaque. The formula is just as amazing as all the rest!

LIGHT GLITTER PINK...

This is a very light pink jelly with a ton of silver glitter in it. I love this one so much and it is the only one that need three coats, because it isn't a cream. It's formula is amazing and I can't get over how beautiful it is.

NEON PINK SHIMMER...

This one is a bright neon pink with a strong gold shimmer running through it. The formula is absolutely amazing and opaque in just one coat, but I always do two when I swatch! This one is my very favorite and it's so unique, I'm in love! <3

***My Thoughts-I love this entire collection and I very much recommend them all. They are such a great deal and the formula and colors are very high end quality. I'm so happy to have found these and who knew that Rue21 had such amazing polish! I'm in love!!!***  (I've also done a video for this collection on my youtube channel @kristinjohnson. Go check it out! Please enjoy!)

Revlon Transforming Effects + A few new from core line!

REVLON TRANSFORMING EFFECTS POLISH!

Hello again, so today I have three of the new Revlon Transforming Effects polishes and three new polishes from their core line too to share with you! I believe that there are six transforming effects polishes available, but I grabbed the three that interested me the most. These polishes retail anywhere from 4 to 6 dollars depending on where you purchase yours. The transforming effects line has a range of different toppers that can give a polish you put under it a  whole new look. I am loving these and I can tell you now that I highly recommend them. The three others that I have are just new shades that they released into their core line. I really like these too, but I'll tell you more below. Let's get started...........

GOLDEN CONFETTI...

Golden Confetti is  a clear base polish with loads of gold holographic bar glitters. I love the way this looks and I have it on top of Essie's Good as gold. I only used one coat of the revlon for the swatch. It was very easy to apply, not thick and you don't have to fish to get the glitter on your brush. I love it!

HOLOGRAPHIC PEARLS...

Holographic pearls is my favorite of the bunch and it's amazing! This is a very fine micro holographic silver glitter in a clear base. The formula was amazing and went on so evenly and smooth. I did three coats to get the swatch you see above and no base coat under it. You can wear a color under if you want to, but I think it looks best on it's own, it's gorgeous! This is the one I recommend the most!!! I can't get enough of this one!

NUDE GRAFFITI...

Nude Graffiti is a clear base with white, tan, peach and nude colored multi-sized matte hex glitters and matte bar glitters. I have one coat over Maybelline Color show Go Nude. The formula is easy to work with and you do have to move the glitters around to where you want them positioned. I really liked this one, but it wasn't my favorite.

 WILD...

Wild is a green to grey to purple duochrome shimmery sheer polish with micro green glass flecks scattered throughout. The formula was good but it did take 3 thicker coats to get the opacity that I have in the picture above. You could layer it over another color if you wanted to though. It's very pretty, but it takes some work and I'm not sure if it's worth it.

SULTRY...

Ahhhh.....This polish is so gorgeous and the one I would recommend the most of them all today. Sultry is a gorgeous electric blue to pink/purple duo-chrome metallic polish. I have two coats on for the swatch and the formula was so smooth and super easy to apply. It also has some very fine micro pink/purple flecks running through it as well. I love this shade so much and it is just so unique.....I'm so happy that I have this and if you don't have this yet, You NEED it! :)

SMOLDERING...

Smoldering is very similar to wild and has the exact same formula too. It is a grey to pink to green duo-chrome shimmer polish and has micro silver flecks running through it. The formula is nice, but it also needs at least three coats to be opaque and you can layer to make it easier if you like. I think it's a stunning color but, again, not sure if it's worth the trouble.

****My Thoughts.... I really enjoyed the three polishes from the Transforming Effects  line and I do highly recommend them, but not so much for two of the others. I most of all recommend sultry, but not wild or smoldering. I mean, they are nice polishes and the colors are great, but they are just too sheer for me. I hope that I helped you all out in deciding if you need any of these Revlon polishes. I hope you enjoyed and I'll talk to you in the next one. Remember.....Stay Polished People!

NEW 2015 CALVIN KLEIN REVEAL FRAGRANCE FOR MEN REVIEW!

CALVIN KLEIN REVEAL COLOGNE!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having an amazing day. I have here today a sample that I was sent from Influenster to review for you guys. This is the brand new cologne for men from Calvin Klein called Reveal. I received a small sample of this for my fiance to try out and I am in love with this scent. It has this strong masculine aroma to it and draws me in. It's a sexy sort of  scent and it's exactly what I want my man to wear. He loves it and loves that I love it too. lol!! It is most definitely a scent that you won't forget and one that is easy to decipher from other colognes. You can find this at any Macy's department stores as of now and the 3.4oz bottle is 80.00 and it goes down to 20.00 depending on what size or set you choose. Most other stores that carry fragrances for Calvin Klein should have this available very soon if not already. I also received a special gift with the sample and it's a card holder for my guy and it's very nice and has the Calvin Klein brand name on it too. I highly recommend this fragrance for any man that wants to attract a ton of women, LOL, but yes, I recommend this to everyone and really like it a lot. I want to thank Influenster again for sending this for us to try out and I'm glad that I got to participate in this. It was a ton of fun and I hope that I helped you all out in deciding if you want to purchase this cologne. I'll talk to you all later, bye!!!!

ESSIE WEDDING COLLECTION 2015 REVIEW!

ESSIE WEDDING COLLECTION-HUBBY FOR DESSERT 2015!

I only picked up these 3 here from the six in the collection!
Today I have three of the new 2015 Essie Wedding Collection polishes to share with you. The collection has a total of six polishes and I picked up the three brighter and more opaque colors! The other three are very light and nude-ish shades that I really didn't need. The name of the Collection is "Hubby For Dessert" and they always come up with the coolest names for this particular collection. I love the colors I bought and I can't wait to share them with you guys. Let's get it started.......

HUBBY FOR DESSERT...

Hubby for dessert is a light pinky/lavender shade and has a jelly/cream formula, which makes it appear like how jelly would.....squishy. The formula is a bit sheer but I got it opaque in three easy coats here. The formula was very nice and easy to apply and I really like it. This is the namesake of the collection.

BRIDES NO GROOMS...

Brides no groom is a beautiful strawberry/melon pink shade and can be opaque in one thick coat, but I always do two. The formula is amazing and I really love that Essie put this color in their wedding collection. I love it!

HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE...

Happy wife happy life is a medium red-orange shade. I love this color and it's opaque in one coat, of course, I did two for the swatch! I thought this polish looked similar to geranium from Essie, but it's not quite as bright and this is a straight cream and geranium is a crelly formula. It's just gorgeous and a dream to apply!

MY THOUGHTS...I am in love with the three I picked up and I do recommend these for sure. I don't know how appropriate the pink and red colors would be for a wedding, but it's a fun idea. They took s chance on these colors this year and I think it worked out very well. I just absolutely love them!! I hope that I helped you guys and leave any questions for me below. Have an amazing day and remember....STAY POLISHED PEOPLE!!

*** The bottles have a very delicate design on the cap***

New Hard Candy Nail Polish Review!

HARD CANDY NAIL POLISH 2015!

So, here I have four new polishes from Hard Candy. Hard Candy is exclusive to WalMart and is priced at 4 dollars a piece. The amount of product you get is .26 fl. oz. and that's about half of what you get in a China Glaze or O.P.I. polish. I only pay that amount for these, because they are so unique and the quality is always on point. I've never had one I didn't love and these are no different. They had a few more new polishes other than the four I bought, but these one's are what really stood out to me. The brush on them are on the bigger side and easy to use and will fit most nail beds. Ok, lets get started with the photos and review......

EMERALD CUT 991...

Emerald cut is a gorgeous dark emerald green foil color. It has some gold shimmer running throughout it too. This can be opaque in one thick coat but I did two thin coats for the swatch. The formula was very nice and smooth and I had no trouble applying this at all, I LOVE IT!!

BRONZE CHAMPION 989...

Bronze Champion is a beautiful Bronze/gold foil color and the formula was perfect on this one too. It's another one coat polish, but I did two here. It is amazing and I love it just the same as the last one.

WILD CHILD 988...

Wild Child is a bright purple metallic color with a blue shift and small blue glass fleck pieces scattered through out! It's gorgeous and only took two coats to be opaque and the formula is amazing on this one too.

COSMIC LOVE AFFAIR 990...

Cosmic Love affair is a  dark black/blue jelly base with a ton of blue glitter that has a purple shift to it. This one is so cool and has a lot of depth. It is a one coat polish, but I did two again for the swatch! This is my favorite and the formula is absolutely perfect.

MY THOUGHTS..... I highly recommend each and every one of these here and there isn't one I would tell you to skip on. They are all super fun and unique with amazing formulas. I hope that this helped you out if you've been thinking about getting any of these. Thanks for joining me today and any questions you have, I will do my best to answer. I hope you have an amazing day and remember....STAY POLISHED PEOPLE!!!

ESSIE CASHMERE MATTE COLLECTION REVIEW!

ESSIE CASHMERE MATTE COLLECTION!

Here I have the new Essie 2015 Cashmere Matte Collection. I originally bought 5 of the 6, but I have since acquired them all. I know, I get a little crazy when it comes to Essie. So, I will be reviewing the entire collection here for you today! I also have a video review on my Youtube channel @kristinjohnson, if you want to see that too, but I only had 3 at that point. That's why I wanted to blog about them too. I hope you all enjoy and let's get in to it.......

WRAP ME UP...

Wrap Me up is a very light off white milky shade that dries matte. This is such a gorgeous color but it is a bit difficult to apply and get it to look nice. It dries so fast and it just makes it hard to get even coverage, but if you work fast you can do it. I really like it and I love wearing it too. This is one of two that doesn't have shimmer like the rest of the collection, which I'll get to soon.

ALL EYES ON NUDES...

All eyes on nudes is a beige nude shade and the only other one without shimmer. It dries matte and I have two coats on here. This one was a little less difficult than the last, but still not real easy. I also love this color, but you still have to work fast to get it to look good.

JUST STITCHED...

Just stitched is a gorgeous light milky/chalky pink with a blue shimmer running through it. It dries matte and take about 3+ coats to get it opaque and even. I  had the most trouble out of this one, because it was just so streaky and was pulling when I would add another coat if I wasn't quick enough with it. I am in love with the color, but it's just way too difficult and I'd say stay away from this one.

COMFY IN CASHMERE...

Comfy in cashmere is a Tan/beige color and looks pretty close to essie's chinchilly. It has that blue shimmer, dries matte and took 3 coats to be opaque. The formula on this one was just ok, it wasn't like the pink one but still not too great. It's beautiful, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble though.

COAT COUTURE...

Coat Couture is a beautiful grey/purple beige color and has that blue shimmer though it too. This is my second favorite from the collection and it took two coats to be opaque. It of course dries matte and the shimmer stands out very well in this one. The formula was very nice and went on very smooth and leveled itself out and I had no problems with this one.

SPUN IN LUX...

Spun in lux is my very favorite of the collection and has the best formula too. This one can be opaque in one coat if you really took your time on it, but I did two here. It's a gorgeous black matte cream with very apparant blue shimmer. The shimmer shows up in certain lights when matte, but it really stands out when it's topcoated and glossy. It's just easy and the one I recommend the most!

My Thoughts..... I love this collection for the uniqueness of it, but most of the formulas are just pretty bad and someone who isn't great at applying nail polish will just waste their money. Like I said, I love the concept and colors in this collection, but I would only tell you 3 and maybe 4 are worth buying and that is...Spun in Lux, Coat Couture, All eyes on nudes and wrap me up. I hope that this was helpful and if you have any questions, put them below and I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks for checking my review out and I hope you have a great day....Remember....stay polished!!
